Indeed there are no southern European Start-ups participating in SeedCamp this year, but considering the “Mediterranean” geographical region (and hopefully one day Geopolitical region, when peace be among us), there are 2 representatives: Israel (YubiTech which I am part of) and Jordan (Talasim).

We decided to invest in them earlier in the process but they are very much part of the Class of 2009 and hence will benefit from the entire programme. Unfortunately we are not that active in southern Europe for a number of reasons (if you want to know my opinion you can contact me and I’ll be glad to have a chat about it).

As you can see, the majority of the teams are based in London and other parts of the UK, that was pretty much predictable.

There are quite a few teams coming from eastern Europe and that’s very nice, unfortunately there are none from Italy, Spain, Greece, France and just one from Germany.
